#LLRL Fund: In Loving Memory of Rhys John Ludlow

On July 26th, 2024, Rhys John Ludlow unexpectedly passed due to complications with his type one diabetes. His infectious laughter, boundless generosity, and unwavering passion for agriculture touched the lives of many.

From a young age Rhys loved animals and being raised on a ranch. He started showing rabbits with Orange Blossom 4-H group when he was in fourth grade. Rhys was always interested in expanding his knowledge and understanding for the livestock industry. His favorite part was behind the scenes; making breeding decisions, ensuring proper nutrition and preparing animals for shows. As the years went on, Rhys advanced to raising sheep and goats, and became heavily involved in Oakdale FFA. He made it a priority to raise high quality livestock, and nurture relationships with breeders and livestock experts in nutrition supplements and fitting. Rhys loved sharing his knowledge and was always willing to mentor others.

To honor his memory, we’ve established this fund with Rhys’s parents, Shannon and Nate, as well as his siblings, Saval, Ciera, Rhet, and Maryn, to benefit youth in agriculture throughout California. Your contribution will help support the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Please join us in celebrating Rhys’s life and legacy.
